Grace Perret finished with nine kills, seven digs and one service ace as the Carroll University women's volleyball team swept former Midwest Conference rival Lawrence University 25-11, 25-18, 25-19 in a nonconference dual meet at Van Male Field House on Tuesday night.
It was the fourth consecutive victory for Carroll, which improved to 8-8 overall with the Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night effort to help kick-off Homecoming Week.
Peyton Frost contributed seven kills for the steadily improving Pioneers, who generated double-digit kills in each set (highlighted by a meet-high 15 kills, four errors and .333 hitting percentage in the decisive, victory-clinching third set).
Kaitlin Gawelski followed with five kills and two blocks for Carroll, which amassed 42 kills, six service aces, four blocks, 61 digs and 39 assists.
Maggie McGough registered 18 digs and
Ashley Konecki had two aces for the Pioneers.
Cora Riffle added eight digs and 20 assists.
Lawrence dropped to 1-17 overall.
