COLFAX, Wis. - The Carroll University men's cross country team placed 11th in the 25-team Blugold Invitational (hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire) at Whitetail Golf Course on Friday afternoon.
Spencer Kirsteatter finished 12th overall in a time of 25 minutes, 15.9 seconds to lead Carroll, which totaled 343 points in negotiating the challenging 8,000-kilometer (4.97-mile) course. 
Charles Quast followed in 50th (26:14), Peter Carty placed 79th (26:46), Austin Sanderfoot took 99th (27:20) and Nathan Raatz was 103rd (27:34) to round out the top five the Pioneers.
