WAUKESHA, Wis. - Carroll's volleyball team earned a three-set victory against non-conference foe Ripon College Wednesday night. The Pioneers won the first two sets by identical 25-14 scores, before finishing the Red Hawks off with a 25-8 third-set victory.
Carroll (14-13) dominated this match from start-to-finish, holding a 42-22 advantage in kills and a 7-2 edge in blocks. The Pios also finished the match with a team hitting percentage of .374, while also leading Ripon in assists (37-18) and digs (39-33).
Kaitlin Gawelski led the Pioneers with 13 kills, while
Katie Jensen and
Rebekah Andreae each finished with seven. Andreae also recorded a match-high four blocks, while
Maggie McGough led all players with 13 digs.
Payton Depies finished with a match-high 33 assists.
Ripon was led by Paris Croker's five kills, while Lydia Ellis added four, to go along with a team-high two blocks. Emily Braun led the Red Hawks in assists with 15, while Sam Thrasher led the team in digs with eight.
The Pioneers will finish their 2023 regular season on Saturday when they'll battle North Park University. That match will begin at 6 p.m. in Chicago, Ill.
