OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Carroll University men's indoor track and field team put up 31 team points to finish in fourth at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge Saturday.
In track events,
Kyle Adams' grabbed a fifth-place finish in the one-mile run, and
Peter Carty claimed fifth in the 3000-meter dash as well.
Peter Marra was the lone sprinter to gain team points, finishing eighth in the 60m hurdles. The 4x400 team of Marra,
Trenton Nickel,
Ethan Weber, and
Nathan Raatz finished in fourth with a 3:33.50.
In field events,
Steven Hermsen and
Jimmy Hinkley combined for 11 team points with a third and fourth-place finish in the weight throw. Hinkley cleared 17 meters for the second time this season. Hermsen also finished third in the shot put with a throw of 15.95 meters, a season-best.
The Pioneers head down to Illinois Wesleyan next weekend for the 2023 CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championships.
