NEW BERLIN, Wis. - The Carroll University men's tennis team swept Wartburg College 9-0 in a nonconference dual meet at the Princeton Club on Saturday.
It was the second consecutive nonconference dual sweep for Carroll, which remained undefeated on the season with a 4-0 overall record following its dominant performance to begin 2023.
The Pioneers have combined to outscore the opposition by a statement-making 34-2 margin in dual competition.
Andrew LaBelle won in straight sets at No. 1 singles, defeated Wartburg's Kaleb Flenker 6-2, 6-0 to lead Carroll, which registered six straight-set victories in the singles flight.
LaBelle, a freshman from Mukwonago, Wis., won his second straight match to improve to 3-1 in duals and 4-2 overall.
Ryan LaBelle, also a freshman from Mukwonago, Wis., followed with a straight-set victory at No. 2 singles (6-0, 6-2), improving to 4-0 in duals and 5-1 overall.
Jack McCaffery, a sophomore from Waukesha, Wis., won at No. 3 singles (6-0, 6-3) to earn his fifth consecutive victory and improve to 4-0 in duals and 5-1 overall.

Luke Barter (No. 5) and
Layton Carls (No. 6) each added a straight-set victory for the Pioneers.
The LaBelle brothers won at No. 1 doubles (8-2) to improve to 4-0 in duals and 5-1 overall.Â
The duo of McCaffery and Eman won at No. 2 doubles (8-3) and the No. 3 tandem of Barter and Carls added a victory (8-7), each improving to 3-0 in duals and 4-1 overall.
