Milwaukee, Wis. – The Carroll University men's lacrosse was looking to end their six-game road trip on a high note. Unfortunately, the Pios couldn't get their offense going as Milwaukee School of Engineering ran away with a 0-23 victory.
Ethan Phillips led the way for the Pioneers getting three shots on goal. Phillips was unable to capitalize on any of the goals.
The Pioneers (2-8) got up 13 shots during the game. Seven of those shots were on target.
Jake Gehl faced just 70 shots throughout the game, with 44 shots on target. Gehl was able to make 21 saves.
Brady Raczkowski had three of the Pioneers' nine caused turnovers.
Sam Kopshinsky led with four ground balls on the night.
The game started with MSOE scoring three goals in the first three minutes of the game. Forcing Carroll to call an early timeout. Out of the timeout, MSOE would score another goal pushing the lead to 4-0. Carroll would finally get a shot off, but not capitalize. MSOE would continue to the pressure and score eight unanswered in the first period. Carroll gave up just three goals in the second period but found themselves down 0-11 at the half. Hoping to get some momentum going the Pioneers would battle back and forth with the Raiders. However, with 11:42 in the third period, MSOE would score five quick goals to push their lead to 0-16. Carroll would continue to struggle as MESO would find the back of the net seven more times. As Carroll would lose 0-23.
The Pioneers return to action at Schneider Stadium against Concordia University Chicago on Wednesday, Mar. 29 in the final non-conference game of the year.
