HANOVER PARK, Ill. - The Carroll University men's tennis team lost to high-powered Wheaton College 9-0 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin dual-meet opener at Centre Court Arena on Friday afternoon.
It was the second road loss of the season for Carroll, which dropped to 9-4 overall following the humbling experience.
Andrew LaBelle lost to Wheaton's Jack Booker in an intriguing three-set match at No. 1 singles, falling 6-7 (1), 6-3, 10-5.
LaBelle, a freshman from Mukwonago, Wis., dropped to 9-4 in dual competition and 10-5 overall.
Wheaton improved to 8-5 overall.
