WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Carroll University men's track and field teams split up and sent individuals to the Firebird Finale final qualifier hosted by Carthage, and the Ripon Final Qualifier hosted by the Red Hawks.
 
At Ripon, Peter Marra ran in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.53 and the 200m dash with a time of 23.39. Kevin Lind raced in the 60m dash and finished ninth with a time of 7.07. Nathan Raatz won the men's 400m and barely missed a PR with a time of 50.52.  
 
At Carthage, Steven Hermsen threw in both the weight throw and shot put event. Hermsen's shot put distance went 14.27m and his weight throw landed at 18.54m. Jimmy Hinkley finished fourth in the weight throw with a throw of 17.24m.
 
The official 2023 NCAA DIII Indoor Track and Field Championships participant list will be announced on Sunday, March 5.
