NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Carroll University women's tennis team will begin their post-season CCIW Women's Tennis Conference Tournament on Thursday, April 20 at Nike Park in Naperville, Illinois. The Pioneers enter as the number seven seed, taking on the number two seed Millikin Big Blue.
 
Traditionally held in the fall, the 2023 CCIW Women's Tennis Championship Tournament will determine an automatic qualifier for the 2023 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Tournament. The Pios finished the 2022 fall conference schedule with three wins and five losses.
 
Carroll faces off against Millikin in a rematch from October where the Pios hosted the Big Blue and fell 2-7 at Jean Kilgour Trailblazer Courts. Sophia Dekker and Maya Gaedtke were the lone Pios to win singles matches at the number three and four spots, respectively. Madison Ostrander reached a tie-breaker set in six singles but fell 9-11 in the last set. Dekker and Aalaiya Jackson came down to a close match last fall in two doubles but fell 6-8.
