Pios Can’t Get Offense Going Against Transylvania

Kenosha, Wis. – The Carroll University men's lacrosse team lost against Transylvania University 4-18. Four separate Pioneers scored all four of the goals on the night.

The Pioneers (3-10) got up 26 shots during the game, getting 10 shots on goal. Jake Gehl faced 54 shots throughout the game, with 35 shots on target. Gehl was able to make 17 saves on the night. Spencer Lautner led the team in ground balls with six of them. The Pioneers also caused five turnovers throughout the game.

Carroll would start the game out going down 0-1 in the first two minutes of play. However, with 12:31 to go in the first period, Ethan Phillips scored to even things up. Transylvania would score one more time in the period to a 1-2 lead into the second period. That would spark a five-point run as Carroll found themselves down 1-6. Brady Revnew would find the back of the net with 2:39 to go in half to make it 2-6. Carroll would be held scoreless in the third period and find themselves down 2-15 going into the final period of play. Roman Stanley would strike first in the final period for Carroll's third goal of the game. Transylvania would score three more unanswered goals before Brady Raczkowski ended the run. Transylvania would escape with 4-18 victory on the night.

The Pioneers return to action against Augustana College on April 15. The game will be in Rock Island, Ill.
