WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Carroll University men's tennis team defeated the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse 6-3 in a nonconference dual meet at the Jean Kilgour-Trailblazer Tennis Complex on Sunday.
It was the second consecutive dual victory of the early season for Carroll, which remained undefeated with a 2-0 overall record.
The Pioneers won three matches in the singles flight and swept its doubles matches.
Adrian Gomez won in straight sets at No. 1 singles to help lead Carroll, defeating UW-La Crosse's Cole Contardi 6-1, 6-1.
Daniel Ezcurra (No. 2) and
Andrew LaBelle (No. 3) each followed with a straight-set victory for the Pioneers.
Gomez and Ezcurra combined for a victory at No. 1 doubles, defeating UW-La Crosse's Contardi and Jack Hehli (8-6).Â
Andrew LaBelle and
Ryan LaBelle won at No. 2 doubles (8-7).
David Eman and
Jack McCaffery added a victory at No. 3 doubles.
