DECATUR, Ill. - The Carroll University women's volleyball team was swept by Millikin University 25-13, 25-9, 25-18 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin dual meet at Griswold Physical Education Center on Wednesday night.
It was the second conference loss of the season for Carroll, which came in riding the momentum of a first-place finish at the Red Hawk Invitational but dropped to 0-2 in the highly contested league standings and 7-6 overall.
Katie Jensen contributed a team-high seven kills and six digs for the Pioneers, who generated a team-best nine kills in the first and third sets.
Lindsey Christman followed with six kills and
Rebekah Andreae registered four blocks for Carroll.
Maggie McGough finished with seven digs with
Lindsey Diep and
Payton Depies each adding seven assists.
Kailee Itzenhuiser had nine kills, seven service aces and 11 digs for Millikin, which improved to 2-0 in conference and 7-4 overall.
