Four Pios Receive CSC Academic All-District Honors

The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released its annual Academic All-District Volleyball Team Tuesday morning, with the maximum of four Carroll players receiving the distinguished honor. The Pioneers saw Senior Rebekah Andreae, Junior Maggie McGough, and sophomores Payton Depies and Kylie Wittnebel each earn the distinction. Those players helped the Pioneers record their highest win total (19) in six years during the 2024 season.

A Middle Blocker from Sturgeon Bay, Wis. Andreae played all 33 matches for the Pios this season, recording a team-best hitting percentage of .274. The Business Administration major also ranked third on the team in Kills (184) and second in Blocks (98).

McGough is a Nursing major from South Elgin, Ill. The Defensive Specialist led Carroll in digs with 481 (4.26 D/S), while ranking third on the team in assists (99) and fourth in service aces (35).

Depies is majoring in Exercise Science at Carroll. The Setter from Germantown, Wis. led the Pioneers in assists this season with 546 (4.79 A/S), while ranking third in digs (232) and fifth in service aces (24).

Majoring in Elementary Education, Wittnebel was Carroll's lone representative on the All-Conference team this season, earning Second Team honors. The Middle Blocker/Opposite Hitter from Beaver Dam, Wis. finished the season with a team-high 105 blocks, which was just one shy of the league leader. Her 209 kills (2.21 K/S) and hitting percentage of .205 both ranked second on the team.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Volleyball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District. Honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on January 14.
