Four Pios Earn Academic All-District Honors

The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released its annual Academic All-District Team for Women's Volleyball today, with Carroll earning four Academic All-District honors. The Pioneers saw Bronwyn Rowse, Taylor Raley, Kylie Wittnebel, and Maggie McGough each earning the distinction. Each honoree combined impactful play for the Pios with outstanding academic achievement.

Making her first appearance on the Academic All-District Team, Rowse capped an outstanding sophomore season by earning First Team All-CCIW honors. The Denver, Colo., native led Carroll in kills during conference play and ranked among the league leaders in total points. She delivered marquee performances early in the year, including a 20-kill outing that set Carroll's record for most kills in a three-set match.

Raley earns her first Academic All-District honors after anchoring Carroll's defense in her senior season. The Columbus, Wis., native appeared in nearly every match the past two years and was among the team's leaders in service aces and digs last season (34 aces, 212 digs). A Nursing major, Raley's versatility as an OH/DS and her leadership presence were pivotal for the Pios.

Wittnebel makes her second career appearance on the Academic All-District Team after another standout year in the middle. The Beaver Dam, Wis., native and Elementary Education major previously earned Second Team All-CCIW honors in 2024 and finished the season with 191 kills, 72 blocks, and a .245 hitting percentage. Her consistent two-way impact continued this fall, where she added All-District recognition to her growing list of accolades.

McGough makes her third career Academic All-District appearance following another elite season in the back row. The South Elgin, Ill., native and Nursing major led Carroll with 485 digs this season (4.22/set). She also earned CCIW Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week honors during a 2–0 stretch this fall, underscoring her reliability and leadership at libero/DS.

The 2025–26 Academic All-District® Volleyball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
