RIPON, Wis. - The Carroll University women's track and field team placed sixth at Saturday's nine-team Dick Hendricks Invitational (hosted by Ripon College).
Carroll, which generated 63 points in the indoor meet, was powered by two individual titles, one second-place finish and three third-place efforts.
Vanessa Uitenbroek continued he standout individual season by claiming individual titles in both the shot put with a distance of 13.98 meters and the weight throw in 16.08 meters to lead the Pioneers. Uitenbroek is currently ranked fifth in the nation in NCAA Division III in shot put.
Maria Falk was second in the shot put (13.45m) and third in the weight throw (15.25m) for the Pioneers.
Grace Tinder added a third-place finish in the pole vault (3.18m).
Carroll's 4x400 relay (consisting of
Ani Tollerud,
Brooke Davies,
Victoria Watson and
Rebekah Buboltz) finished third with a time of 4:18.77.
Other individuals finishing within the top eight for Carroll were: Buboltz, fourth in 400 (1:04.32);
Madeline Simpson, fourth in pole vault (3.03m);
Katelyn Duber, seventh in 60 hurdles (10.69) and seventh in triple jump (9.87m);
Lexi Sahlin Cloutier, seventh in pole vault (2.58m) and
Natalie Parent, eighth in 3,000 (11:38.94).
