KENOSHA, Wis. - The Carroll University women's track and field team continued to show flashes of its potential by placing fourth at the nine-team Tadd Metzger Invitational (hosted by intra-state CCIW rival Carthage College) at Tarble Arena over the weekend.
Carroll generated 81 points in the challenging two-day indoor meet, walking away with one individual title, three second-place finishes and two third places.
Lexi Elegbede-Peer won the 200-meter run in a time of 27.05 seconds and was third in the 55 meters in 7.55 to top the list of memorable performances for the Pioneers.
Grace Tinder was second in pole vault with a personal-best height of 3.10 meters and
Lucy Beuthin was second in the 600 in 1:53.53.
Carroll's 4x400 relay team added a second-place finish, clocking in at 4:25.87.
Other top-eight individual finishes for Carroll were:
Vanessa Uitenbroek, third in shot put (13.19m) and seventh in weight throw (14.47m);
Madeline Simpson, fourth place in pole vault (2.95m);
Maria Falk, fourth in shot put (13.10m) and fourth in weight throw (15.62m); Anika Tollerud, fifth in 400 (1:03.78);
Brooke Davies, fifth in 800 (2:34.02); Alexandra Sahlin Cloutier, fifth in pole vault (2.80m);
Savannah Krzykowski, fifth in pentathlon (1,867 points) (personal best);
Taylor Olund, sixth in 55 (28.30);
Katelyn Duber, seventh in 55 hurdles (9.76) (personal best);
Ashley Wojciechowski, eighth in long jump (4.77m) (personal best)
