MEQUON, Wis. - The Carroll baseball team lost their final game before spring break Monday afternoon, falling to Concordia (Wis.) 10-4 on a beautiful spring. The defeat of the Pios gives CUW the season sweep over Carroll.

Both teams came out of the gate bats blazing as the Pioneers found themselves in a 6-2 deficit after one inning. Carroll scored two more in the fifth but was blanked in every other inning.
The Pioneers utilized five pitchers in the defeat including starter Jorge Rodriguez, Roman Maguire, Daniel Kalinowski, Nate Sternig, and Brody Meyers. The group combined for three strikeouts, giving up 11 hits, while allowing nine earned runs and walking six batters.
Carroll now has a 22-hour turnaround, as they face #22-ranked University of Wisconsin Whitewater in Pensacola, Fla. at 6 p.m. Central Time on Tuesday evening. The game will be the first of five games in Florida for the Pios' spring break trip.
