HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - For the second time in as many days, Carroll's men's tennis team escaped with a 5-4 victory, improving their record on the current Spring Break trip to 2-0. Both teams each won three singles matches, with the difference coming in doubles play, which saw Carroll take two of the three matches.

At number one doubles, Adrian Gomez and Daniel Ezcurra teamed up for an 8-3 victory, while the Pioneers' number three doubles team of David Eman and Felix Persson won by a score of 8-5.

Ezcurra was also victorious in singles play at the top flight, winning 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-5). Jack McCaffery also won his match at the fifth flight (6-4, 6-3), while Persson won at number six singles (6-2, 6-1).

The Pioneers will try to finish their Spring Trip undefeated, as they will bring it to a close on Wednesday against East Texas Baptist University. That match will begin at 9 a.m. Eastern Time at Hilton Head Resort in Hilton Head Island, S.C.
