WAUKESHA, Wis. - Carroll's men's tennis team lost to Carthage College Tuesday afternoon by a score of 6-1 in what was their final tuneup before the CCIW Championships.
Carthage (21-3, 6-1 CCIW) won two of the three doubles matches, while winning four singles matches, and the two remaining being unfinished. Carroll's lone team point came at number one doubles, where
Daniel Ezcurra and
Adrian Gomez teamed up to defeat the team of Elios Briand and Myles Krzewinski by a score of 8-3.
The Pioneers will now prepare to host the 2024 CCIW Men's Tennis Championships, which will be held May 2-4 at the Jean Kilgour-Trailblazer Tennis Complex in Waukesha, Wis.
