ELMHURST, Ill. - Carroll men's lacrosse dropped their fourth straight game on Wednesday night, losing to Elmhurst by a score of 20-6 in a CCIW match. It was the seventh loss on the road this season for Carroll, which dropped to 0-4 in the conference standings and 6-9 overall.
Elmhurst, which improved to 3-1 in league and 10-3 overall, outscored the Pioneers by a 16-2 margin in the first half including a stretch of nine unanswered goals between the first and second periods. The Bluejays maintained a 31-15 shots-on-goal advantage.
Zachary Szuba led the Pios with three goals and one assist, while
Brady Conwell,
Josh Kovach, and
Luke Bridges each contributed a goal to round out the scoring for Carroll.
Jake Gehl registered four saves in playing the entire first half for Carroll.
Turner Postulka took over in the second half for Carroll registering seven saves.
The Pioneers close the 2024 season on Sunday, April 27 where they host Illinois Wesleyan for a Sunday matinee game beginning at 1 p.m.
