FINAL RESULTS
DE PERE, Wis. -
Vanessa Uitenbroek won the discus with a distance of 49.06 meters (160-11) as the Carroll University women's track and field team finished eighth at the St. Norbert Invitational.
With the standout individual Uitenbroek established a school record, breaking her own prior mark in the process. She is currently ranked second in NCAA Division III in the event, fourth in shot put and 17th in hammer throw.
Cate Gudaitis, who added a fourth-place finish in discus 40.35m (132-4) for the Pioneers, is seeded seventh in the nation.
Several Pioneers competed at the University of Wisconsin Drake Alternative Meet on Thursday. No team scores were kept in the competition.
Maria Falk was second in shot put with a distance of 13.89 meters (45-7) to help lead Carroll. She is seeded 10th in the nation.
Lexi Elegbede-Peer was third in the 200 (26.63) and sixth in the 100 (12.80) for Carroll.
Rebekah Buboltz was third in the 800 (2:21.98) and
Grace Tinder was sixth in pole vault 3.26 meters (10-8.25).
Carroll's 4x400 relay team (comprised of
Brooke Davies,
Lucy Beuthin,
Grace Tinder and
Chiri Watanabe) finished third in 4:34.65. The 4x100 relay team (consisting of
Victoria Watson,
Katelyn Duber,
Taylor Olund and Elegbede-Peer) was seventh in 50.74 seconds.
The Pioneers are scheduled to compete in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Outdoor Championships at Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. May 3-4.
