FINAL RESULTS

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Carroll University Senior Vanessa Uitenbroek finished a busy weekend at this weekend's NCAA Division-III Outdoor Championships, competing in her third event in as many days. The North Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year, Uitenbroek finished ninth out of 22 competitors in the Hammer Throw, narrowly missing her second All-American performance of the weekend.

The only throw of the day that counted in the event was Uitenbroek's first toss, covering a distance of 53.02m (173-11). That was nearly five feet shy of All-American status. Seeded 10th in the event entering the day, the Kaukauna, Wis. native, who was named CCIW Field Performer of the Meet at the CCIW Championships earlier this month, finished ahead of two of the three other competitors from CCIW schools.
