After one year as Carroll's Head Track & Field Coach, Rick Bellford has announced that he is stepping down from his position in order to pursue other professional opportunities.

In his one season with the Pioneers, Bellford coached five student-athletes to a Division-III Nationals appearance in nine different events (one indoor, eight outdoor). He also oversaw three All-Americans, three All-Region performers and the 2024 Women's Field Performer of the Meet (Vanessa Uitenbroek).

"We wish Rick and his family nothing but the best as he pursues a career outside of coaching. In a short amount of time, Rick has done a fantastic job at building up the recruiting pipeline for the track and field program.  It should be every coaches goal to leave a program better then they found it, and Rick has certainly done that," Carroll Athletic Director Michael Schulist said. "The next coach is stepping into a terrific recruiting class with a long-standing history of success at the regional and national level."
