FULL RESULTS
OSHKOSH, Wis. - Carroll's track & field teams traveled to UW-Oshkosh on Saturday to take part in the Titan Challenge. The Pioneers recorded 30 PR and season-best times in the unscored meet.
The women's side was highlighted by a pair of freshman claiming lifetime PRs in their respective events.
Keagan Knue placed third in the 3000m race, finishing in 10:49.89 to set her lifetime mark.
Tirzah Losos also placed third in her respective event, crossing the finish line of the 60m hurdles race in 9.71 seconds.In field events, there were multiple top-3 finishers.Â
Vanessa Uitenbroek's shot put toss of 13.83m was good for second and just 1/4 inch from the event winner. Fellow senior
Maria Falk wasn't far behind, finishing third in the event with a toss of 13.06m (42-10.25).Pio junior
Grace Tinder's pole vault of 3.06m was good for third in the event, followed closely behind by
Bella Backus, who eclipsed 2.91m. Also faring well in field events was
Clare Whitney who finished fourth in the high jump with a mark of 1.52m (4-11.75).
Leading the way for the men's events was there 4x400m relay team of Matthew Konieczny,
Eber Lopez,
Sawyer Caves, and
Ethan Weber. That team placed 6th in the event with a time of 3:31.83. Pioneers was
Brady Reusser, who continued his great season with a first-place throw in the shot put, recording a season-best mark of 14.26m (46-09.50).
Jared Kniola ran the 60m hurdles in 9.19 seconds, finishing 9th in a very competitive field.
Carroll will be in action again next weekend when they will compete at the annual CCIW Indoor Championships all weekend long. The event, hosted by Carthage College, begins on Friday afternoon.
