The Pios also forced 22 Blue Jay turnovers, while winning 17 of the game's 20 draw controls.

Elaina Phaneuf added another goal less than one minute later, while Abby Stas and Grace Brockman also scored in that period. Elizabeth Wang got into the action to begin the second quarter, scoring her first of two goals in the period, while Stas also added two goals to give Carroll an 8-0 halftime lead.

Two quick Hurd goals to begin the third quarter pushed the Pios' lead to double digits. Hurd would score a third time in the period, while Abby Tubbs added a pair of goals, and Lauren Fricke also got into the action with her 16th of the season. Fricke would add another goal to start the fourth, while Hurd also scored, and Stas capped the scoring with two more goals.

Carroll Goal Keepers Devon Duym and Hannah McKenna combined for the shutout, making five saves between them. Elmhurst's Jacq Vanoni played all 60 minutes in goal, recording 20 saves on the night.
