WAUKESHA, Wis. - Carroll men's lacrosse (5-8, 0-3 CCIW) continued CCIW competition by hosting Elmhurst University on Wednesday evening, falling to the Bluejays by a score of 16-4. Elmhurst (11-2, 2-1 CCIW) nearly tripled Carroll's looks at goal, taking 51 shots to the Pioneers' 20.
  
Elmhurst got off to a hot start, scoring 15 seconds into the game. They would use that momentum to build a 6-0 lead over the first nine minutes before Zachary Szuba cracked the scoreboard for the Pios. Elmhurst outmatched Carroll with 21 shots to the Pioneers' four in the opening period. In a quiet second quarter, Elmhurst found the back of the net twice more, as Carroll went into the locker room facing a 9-1 deficit.

In the second half, Roman DeAngelis broke a Pioneer scoring drought that lasted nearly two full quarters. Luke Bridges and Anthony Defilippis both tallied goals in the fourth quarter but the deficit was too much to overcome, as the Pios fell in the 2025 home finale.
 
Carroll Goal Keeper Jake Gehl earned the start, making 16 saves in a complete game between the posts for Carroll. 

The Pioneers will close the 2025 regular season on Saturday, April 26 with a road trip to Bloomington, Ill. to take on Illinois Wesleyan at noon.
