Carroll Receives Three All-Region Selections

NEW ORLEANS – All Region honors for the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season were announced on Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular season. Carroll's Vanessa Uitenbroek, Maria Falk, and Jimmy Hinkley were the Pios' representatives on the All-Region team, which selects the top-5 individuals in each event from each region, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team.

A graduate senior from Kaukauna, Wis., Uitenbroek earned All-Region honors in both the Women's Shot Put and Discus, as she currently ranks second and first, respectively, in those events among all student-athletes in the North Region. Uitenbroek is now a nine-time All-Region performer, which includes earlier this year in the indoor Shot Put. Last year's North Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year, Uitenbroek enters this week's NCAA Division-III Outdoor Nationals seeded 11th in the Shot Put (14.09m/46-02.75) and fourth in the discus (49.34m/161-10). A 14-time NCAA qualifier and seven-time All-American, Uitenbroek will be going for her fourth consecutive All-American performance in the outdoor shot put. She will compete in the discus on Thursday at 1 p.m. ET, before taking part in the Shot Put Friday at 2 p.m. ET.

A senior from Oshkosh, Wis., Falk received the All-Region honor in the Shot Put, leading all North Region competitors with a distance of 14.89m (48-10.25), which is currently the second-best throw in Division-III this season, making her the number two seed in this week's NCAA Outdoor Championships. This marks the second All-Region award of Falk's career, with her other coming earlier this year in the Indoor Shot Put. Falk will compete in the Shot Put at Outdoor Nationals, along with Uitenbroek, Friday at 2 p.m. ET.

Hinkley is making his third consecutive All-Region appearance in the Hammer Throw, ranking fifth in the North Region this season with a distance of 58.27m (191-02). That makes him the 22nd seed in this week's NCAA Division-III Outdoor Championships. Hinkley will compete in that event at Nationals for the fourth consecutive year, throwing Saturday at 1:45 p.m. ET in Geneva, Ohio.
