The 2025 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, was released Tuesday morning, with Carroll Women's Bowler
Ava Butt earning the distinction. The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom.
A two-time All-Conference selection and the 2025 CCIW Women's Bowling Student-Athlete of the Year, Butt helped lead the Pioneers to the number two seed in the CCIW Tournament, which is the highest finish in program history.
Butt's outstanding season saw her finish fifth in the CCIW in individual scoring average, averaging 18.14 pins through 498 total frames. The Sophomore from Wautoma, Wis. also ranked second in the league for single pin spare percentage (.862),, spare conversion percentage (.670), and "makeable" spare conversion percentage (.777). In addition to her spare prowess, Butt finished the regular season ranking fourth in frame fill percentage (.787) and eighth in strike percentage (.355). Of the league's top 20 bowlers, Butt is just one of five to participate in every single one of their team's frames.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. NCAA and NAIA Women's At-Large Academic All-America® First-, second- and third-team honorees will be announced on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
