NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Carroll men's basketball standouts Michael McNabb and Lamar Smith were both named to the All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Second Team for the 2025-26 season, as announced by the conference office Monday.

McNabb, a sophomore from Grafton, WI, earned All-CCIW recognition after putting together one of the most productive scoring seasons in the league. The senior guard led Carroll and ranked among the conference leaders by averaging 20.9 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per game, and 1.6 assists per game while starting all 25 contests for the Pioneers. He shot 51.2 percent from the field, 32.0 percent from three-point range, and 80.4 percent from the free-throw line, while logging 31.4 minutes per game. McNabb scored in double figures in every game this season and finished the year with 522 total points, including multiple 25-plus-point performances.

Smith, a senior from Milwaukee, WI, also garnered All-CCIW Second Team honors following a consistent and efficient season in the frontcourt. The senior forward averaged 16.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game while starting all 25 games for Carroll. Smith led the team with a 60.8 percent shooting percentage, while also contributing heavily on the defensive end with 31 steals and 17 blocked shots. He posted double-digit scoring efforts in 24 of 25 games and recorded multiple double-digit rebounding performances throughout the season.

The duo helped lead Carroll to a 7-9 CCIW record and several notable conference victories, serving as the primary offensive anchors for the Pioneers throughout the 2025-26 campaign. The Pioneers will now look ahead to tomorrow night's Quarterfinals matchup against Elmhurst, as they travel to take on the Bluejays at 7pm with a spot in the Semifinals on the line.
