NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Carroll University women's bowling earned significant postseason recognition, as the Pioneers claimed multiple honors on the 2026 All-CCIW Women's Bowling Teams, highlighted by two major individual awards and two First Team selections.
Ava Butt was named CCIW Co-Student-Athlete of the Year, marking a historic achievement within the conference. Butt became the first bowler in CCIW history to win, or share, Student-Athlete of the Year honors multiple times, earning the distinction for the second consecutive season. The junior from Wautoma, Wisconsin also secured a spot on the All-CCIW First Team, recognizing another standout year at the top of the Carroll lineup.
Joining Butt on the All-CCIW First Team was Miley Brooks, who added her name to the Carroll record books by being named the CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year. Brooks is the first Carroll women's bowler ever to earn the conference's top first-year honor. The freshman from Racine, Wisconsin made an immediate impact in her collegiate debut season, consistently competing among the conference's elite and establishing herself as one of the league's top young talents.
Brooks and Butt were the only Carroll athletes named to the All-CCIW First Team, which also included Mary Graves (Elmhurst), Kaitlyn Kesler (Marian), and Elana Rimer (Marian).
The conference also recognized Marian as the CCIW Coaching Staff of the Year, while Graves was named Co-Student-Athlete of the Year alongside Butt.
The honors reflect a landmark season for Carroll women's bowling, as the Pioneers not only earned conference-wide recognition but also produced historic individual achievements that continue to elevate the program's presence within the CCIW and nationally as they were also invited to the USBC Intercollegiate Team Championship for the first time. The Pioneers still have the CCIW conference championship to play for, with a hopeful trip to the NCAA tournament after.
