Carroll Women’s Lacrosse Defeats Lake Forest to Stay Unbeaten

WAUKESHA, Wis. — The Carroll University women's lacrosse team continued its strong start to the season on Sunday evening, defeating Lake Forest 13–6 at home to remain unbeaten.

Carroll set the tone early, scoring five first-quarter goals and holding Lake Forest scoreless through the opening 15 minutes. The Pioneers used an aggressive offensive approach and strong possession play to build a 5–0 lead before Lake Forest got on the board early in the second quarter.

Elizabeth Wang led the Carroll offense with a standout performance, finishing with five goals and two assists. Samantha Hurd added three goals and one assist, while Sierra Skack contributed two goals and one assist as Carroll spread production throughout the lineup.

The Pioneers extended their lead in the second quarter, adding four more goals to take a 9–2 advantage at halftime. Carroll capitalized on extra-player opportunities throughout the contest, scoring multiple man-up goals as Lake Forest struggled to stay out of penalty trouble.

Carroll continued to control play in the second half, scoring two goals in both the third and fourth quarters while limiting Lake Forest to four goals over the final 30 minutes. Lauren Fricke and Rebecca Hallman each found the back of the net, with Hallman also recording two assists in the victory.

Defensively, Carroll held Lake Forest to 22 shots and forced several turnovers, while winning the draw control battle 14–7. In goal, Devon Duym earned the win, making nine saves and anchoring the Pioneer defense.

With the victory, Carroll continued its undefeated run and maintained momentum early in the season, combining balanced scoring, disciplined defense, and strong special-teams play. Their next matchup comes this Saturday as they travel to River Falls to take on the Falcons at 2pm.
