WAUKESHA, Wis. — The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its annual Academic All-District Team for Women's Basketball, with Carroll University earning two Academic All-District selections in Natalie Gricius and Emilie Wizner.
Gricius, a senior forward from Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, adds another prestigious honor to an already historic season. In 2025-26, Gricius was named the CCIW Player of the Year, earned First Team All-CCIW recognition, and became the first WBCA All-American in Carroll women's basketball history. She was also selected to the D3hoops.com First Team All-America, further cementing her place among the nation's elite players.
On the court, Gricius led the Pioneers in scoring at 22.8 points per game while shooting 55.6 percent from the field, pairing efficiency with physicality and leadership in the frontcourt. She played a central role in Carroll's 15–1 conference record and run to the CCIW Tournament Championship Game, serving as the focal point of one of the most successful seasons in program history.
Wizner, a senior guard from Germantown, Wisconsin, also earned Academic All-District honors following a standout season on both ends of the floor. She was named First Team All-CCIW and emerged as one of the top shooters in the conference, averaging 15.8 points per game while shooting 40.9 percent from three-point range.
Wizner capped her senior season by setting program single-season records for three-pointers made and attempted, providing consistent perimeter scoring while also contributing defensively and as a playmaker. Her ability to stretch defenses and deliver in key moments proved instrumental throughout Carroll's regular-season and postseason success.
The CSC Academic All-District® Basketball Teams recognize student-athletes for their combined excellence on the court and in the classroom. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, with national selections announced later this spring.
Gricius and Wizner's selections further highlight Carroll women's basketball's commitment to excellence both academically and competitively, underscoring a season defined by historic achievements and sustained success.
