Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Carroll Men’s Lacrosse Falls to Kalamazoo at Home

WAUKESHA, Wis. — Carroll men's lacrosse dropped a 15–5 decision to Kalamazoo on Friday afternoon at Schneider Stadium as the Hornets used balanced scoring and sustained offensive pressure to pull away.

Carroll struck first midway through the opening quarter when Brady Conwell scored unassisted to give the Pioneers an early 1–0 lead. Kalamazoo responded with three goals over the final eight minutes of the period and continued to build momentum into the second quarter, taking a 6–1 advantage into halftime.

The Hornets extended the lead in the third quarter, scoring four goals before Carroll found the net twice. Luke Bridges scored on a man-up opportunity before Brady Mollsen added an even-strength goal off an assist from Conwell to cut the deficit. Kalamazoo answered with three goals in the final minutes of the quarter to regain control.

Carroll continued to battle in the fourth quarter, opening the period with another goal from Bridges before Matt Hehr capped the scoring late with his first goal of the season. Kalamazoo closed the game with five fourth-quarter goals to seal the result.

Bridges led Carroll with two goals, while Conwell finished with a goal and an assist. Mollsen and Hehr each added a goal, and Roman DeAngelis contributed two assists. Jake Gehl made 15 saves in goal while facing heavy pressure throughout the contest.

Carroll will look to bounce back as conference play opens next week at Elmhurst on Saturday.
