Women’s Lacrosse Remains Unbeaten with Road Win at Albright

READING, Pen. - The Carroll women's lacrosse team continued its strong start to the season on Sunday afternoon, earning a 13–8 road victory over Albright to improve to 4–0 on the year.

Carroll set the tone early, scoring three of the game's first four goals in the opening quarter. Lauren Fricke opened the scoring midway through the first period, and Paige Helms added a pair of goals as the Pioneers carried a 3–2 lead into the second.

The Pioneers extended their advantage in the second quarter with four goals in an eight-minute span. Sierra Skack, Paige Helms, Elaina Phaneuf, and Elizabeth Mueller each found the back of the net, with Mueller's goal coming on a man-up opportunity. Carroll went into halftime with a 7–3 lead after controlling possession and draw controls through the first half.

Albright closed the gap early in the third quarter, but Carroll responded with a goal from Rebecca Hallman to maintain separation. The Pioneers led 8–5 heading into the final period before pulling away with a decisive offensive surge.

Carroll scored five goals in the fourth quarter, highlighted by two more goals from Helms and a late pair from Elizabeth Wang. Wang's back-to-back goals in the final four minutes sealed the win as the Pioneers finished the afternoon with 13 goals on 36 shots.

Helms led all scorers with four goals, while Fricke added three goals and an assist. Wang finished with two goals and an assist, and Skack recorded a goal and three assists to pace Carroll's playmaking. Mueller and Hallman each contributed goals as Carroll produced balanced scoring throughout the lineup.

In goal, Devon Duym earned the win with a strong performance, recording 10 saves while anchoring a defense that limited Albright to eight goals on the day.

Carroll also held advantages in draw controls and clears, helping the Pioneers maintain possession and tempo throughout the contest as they remained unbeaten through four games. Their next game comes Wednesday as they take on SUNY Canton at 11am.
