NAPERVILLE, Ill. — The Carroll University women's lacrosse team delivered a dominant wire-to-wire performance on Tuesday night, earning a 22–2 victory at North Central to remain unbeaten in CCIW play.
Carroll took control immediately, scoring the game's first seven goals and jumping out to a 7–0 lead midway through the opening quarter. The Pioneers continued to apply pressure throughout the first half, carrying a 13–0 advantage into halftime after holding North Central without a goal through the first 30 minutes.
The Carroll offense was balanced and efficient, with nine different players finding the back of the net. Elizabeth Wang led the way with six goals and two assists, while Elaina Phaneuf added four goals and one assist. Sierra Skack contributed three goals and one assist, and Rebecca Hallman recorded three goals as Carroll consistently capitalized on possession and transition opportunities.
Additional scoring came from Paige Helms (two goals), Teah Rupp, Lauren Fricke, Samantha Hurd, and McKenzie DeFord, who added a man-up goal in the second quarter.
Carroll controlled all phases of the game, finishing with a 39–5 advantage in shots and a 21–6 edge in draw controls. Defensively, the Pioneers limited North Central to just five shots on the night.
In goal, Devon Duym earned the win, making two saves while allowing just two goals. Hannah McKenna closed out the final quarter, holding North Central scoreless.
With the win, Carroll improved to 13–2 overall and 4–0 in conference play. The Pioneers will round out the regular season on Saturday as they travel to Carthage to take on the Firebirds at 4pm in Kenosha.
