WAUKESHA, Wis. — The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its annual Academic All-District® Team, with Carroll University baseball earning four honorees in recognition of their excellence both on the field and in the classroom.
Junior pitcher Braden Lewis (Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin) and seniors Joey Appino (Loves Park, Illinois), Dalen Lamberson (Bolingbrook, Illinois), and Erik Jaschinski (Verona, Wisconsin) represented the Pioneers.
Lewis put together a strong junior campaign on the mound while continuing to excel academically, emerging as a key contributor within Carroll's pitching staff. His selection highlights his consistency and dedication both in competition and in the classroom.
Appino earns Academic All-District honors following an impressive senior season patrolling the outfield and earning yet another All-Conference selection to add to one of the most decorated careers for the Pioneers in history. A steady presence in the lineup, he has combined on-field production with a continued commitment to academic success throughout his career.
Lamberson adds to his list of accomplishments with the honor, having been a reliable presence in the infield during his time with the program. His steady defensive play and contributions at the plate have been matched by his dedication in the classroom.
Jaschinski concludes his career with Academic All-District recognition after serving as an important piece of the Pioneers' pitching staff. His work ethic and leadership have been evident both on the field and in his academic pursuits.
The CSC Academic All-District® Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both athletically and academically. Honorees advance to the ballot for CSC Academic All-America® consideration, with national selections announced later this spring.
Carroll's selections reflect the continued emphasis within the baseball program on developing well-rounded student-athletes who represent the university with distinction both in competition and in the classroom.
