Melanie Walker enters her first season as graduate assistant coach for the women's basketball program. Walker comes to Carroll University from Edgewood College in Madison, WI where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education while becoming a four-year letterman for the Edgewood Eagles. A three-time captain, she finished her career starting 75 straight games for the Eagles, she is among the Eagles all-time leaders in three-pointers made, rebounds, assists, and games started. Walker has coached for several AAU programs as well as been an instructor for Point Guard College. She is working towards her master’s in education while at Carroll University.
Coach Jacobsen states, “Mel is very enthusiastic and has a great deal of basketball knowledge. She is a welcomed addition to our staff and program.”
