The Pioneers took part in the Gene Davis Invitational, hosted by Lawrence University, on November 18. The ladies secured first place out of six teams with 582 total points, while the men took fifth with a total of 316 points.
Lindsey Coons and
Kaitlin Squier led the Pioneers, with seven top three finishes between them. They joined fellow Pioneers

Rowan Liederbach, to win the 200 yard IM relay with a time of 1:56.21. Coons also took first in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.29, while Squier secured first in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.29.
Coons would also place second in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:18.86 and third in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 57.88. Squier nabbed two other second place finishes, the 200 yard IM (2:22.77) and the 200 yard breaststroke (2:36.56).
Amanda Klaeser and
Sarah Schulz also swam well for the Pioneers. Klaeser finished in second place in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:35.87, while Schulz took third in the 400 yard IM with a time of 5:06.42.
Ally Osell continued her excellent start to her collegiate career by placing first in both the one meter dive (388.13) and the three meter dive (368.70). Osell, who has already been named CCIW diver of the week twice, has now finished in the top five in all of the meets this year.
The men's and women's 50 yard freestyle were also solid events for the Pioneers, with
Jordan Andrews taking second (26.37) and Liederbach taking third (26.50) for the women, while
James Kelly took first (22.13) for the men. Kelly would also go on to finish second in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 50.26.
Aaron Talabac also swam well for the men, picking up a first and second place finish. Talabac grabbed first in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:06.64, while also securing second in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:28.30.
The Pioneers will be back in the pool on November 30, as they travel to Kenosha to compete in the Carthage Classic.
