The men's tennis team hosted Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) on Saturday, March 25th, at the Moorland Tennis Center. The Pioneers defeated MSOE 6-3, winning four single matches and two doubles matches.
Junior
Peter Jaeger picked up two victories for the Pioneers. Jaeger defeated MSOE's John Price 6-4, 6-1 in singles action, and then joined senior
Matt Michael to defeat MSOE's John Price and Ryan Runke 8-5 in doubles action.
Freshman
Joesph Harrison and sophomore
Chayce Roecker also picked up two victories for the Pioneers. Roecker and Harrison teamed up to defeat MSOE's Tom Smith and Luke Nelson 8-4 in doubles play. In singles action Harrison defeated MSOE's Tom Smith 6-4, 2-6, 10-3, while Roecker defeated MSOE's David Chon 3-6, 6-3, 10-8.
The Pioneers other victory came from sophomore
Mitchel Gjerseth, who defeated MSOE's Luke Nelson 6-3, 6-2.
The men will be back in action on Sunday, March 26th, as the Pioneers travel to Decatur, Ill. to take on Millikin University in a CCIW showdown. Matches will begin at 10 am.
