The Pioneers defeated Illinois Wesleyan 6-2 on Saturday, April 29. With the victory, Carroll ends its regular season with a 10-8 record on the season and a 3-4 record in conference play.

The Pioneers were led by the doubles team of Chayce Roecker and Joseph Harrison. The two joined forces to win their doubles match 8-0, while also winning their singles matches. Roecker won his singles match 6-0, 6-4 while Harrison took his 6-3, 7-6 (4).

Joshua Ramos teamed up with Adam Piontek to win their doubles match 8-0. Ramos would also win his singles match 7-5, 7-5.

The Pioneers sixth victory would come from Mitchel Gjerseth, who dominated his singles match 6-0, 6-0.

The Pioneers will be back in action on Thursday, May 4, in the CCIW tournament. Carroll is seeded as the fifth overall team, and will take on the 4th seeded Carthage Redmen at 1 pm at Augustana College.
