The Pioneers took on Carthage College on Friday, earning the win five matches to four. The win moves the men's tennis team to 6-4 on the season, and 1-0 in conference play.
Joseph Harrison and
Quentin Lamers both earned two wins for the Pioneers, as they won their individual and doubles matches. Harrison, playing in the third pairing, defeated Carthage's Lukas Jaworski 6-2, 6-4. Lamers played in the fifth pairing and defeated Carthage's Matt Krzewinski 6-3, 6-4.
Harrison would go on to join
Chayce Roecker in doubles action, as they played in the second pairing. The duo would go on to win their match 9-7 over the Red Men. Lamers joined forces with
Mitchel Gjerseth to win the third pairing in doubles action 8-6.
The Pioneers will be back in action on April 8, as they travel to Augustana for a 12 pm start, as they look to move to a perfect 2-0 in conference in the early going.
