JACKSON, Wis.-
The Pioneers took on UW-La Crosse and St. Norbert College on Saturday, beating St. Norbert 7-2 while falling to La Crosse 8
Peter Jaeger and
Matt Michael represented the lone Pioneer win against La Crosse, winning their doubles match 8-6. Jaeger also went the distance in his singles match, eventually falling to La Crosse's Kyle Wogahn 4-6, 6-1, 10-5.
Jaeger and Michael also played well against St. Norbert, as they easily won their doubles match 8-1. Both Pioneers also won their respective individual matches, with Jaeger winning 6-3, 6-1 and Michael winning 7-6, 6-4.
Chayce Roecker,
Quentin Lamers and
Brian Trefilek also won their individual matches for the Pioneers. Roecker took his match 7-6, 6-1 while Lamers won 6-2, 6-4. Treflik beat his opponent in three sets, 3-6, 6-1, 10-7. Roecker would also go on to join forces with fellow Pioneer
Mitchel Gjerseth to win their doubles match in a decisive 8-3 final.
The Pioneers will take the court again this Friday, as they host Lawrence University at the Moorland Tennis Center.
