BLOOMINGTON, Ill.-
The men's tennis team had a strong showing on April 14, as they took all nine matches from the Titans. The Pioneers moved to 2-1 in conference and 8-5 overall.
Chayce Roecker andÂ
Joseph Harrison dominated their singles matches, with Roecker winning 6-1, 6-0 and Harrison winning 6-2, 6-0. The two would also team up for a doubles match, where they won 8-2.
Peter Jaeger and
Matt Michael also played extremely well for the Pioneers. Jaeger, playing in the number one singles match, won 6-3, 6-4 while Michael won the number four singles match 6-3, 6-1. They to would join forces in doubles action, picking up a win 8-1.
Quentin Lamers and
Mitchel Gjerseth were the other doubles pair, winning their match 9-8. Both Pioneers also won their individual matches, with Lamers winning 6-2, 6-4 and Gjerseth winning 2-6, 6-2, 6-3.Â
