Box Score NEWBERG, Oregon - The Carroll University women's soccer team lost 1-0 to George Fox University in a tough, physical season-opening nonconference game at the 23-acre Austin Sports Complex on Friday evening.
It was the first game of the team's challenging Oregon fall trip.
George Fox freshman forward Savannah Moisan scored what became the eventual winning goal off a header at the 30:08 mark, finishing on a free kick from junior defender Leanna Harris.
Carroll was outshot 16-9 in the contest, including a critical 4-3 shot-on-goal margin.

Delaney Pruitt (Ringwood, Ill.), freshman midfielder
Kaitlyn Zanon (Waukesha, Wis.) and freshman forward
Brookelyn Campbell (Oconomowoc, Wis.) each generated a shot on goal for Carroll.
Junior goalkeeper
Christina O' Block (Libertyville, Ill.) registered three saves in playing the entire 90 minutes for the Pioneers.
