Jackson, Wis. – The Carroll University men's tennis team took on St. Norbert today, and came away with their second straight victory, 6-3.
In doubles,
Lucas Nay and
Joseph Harrison handled their matchup with ease, finishing their set 7-2.
Luke Barter and
Sam Fay faced a tough match up in the third seeded matchup, but finished victorious 8-7(3).
Brian Trefliek and
Michael Rose dropped a heartbreaker, falling (6)7-8.
In singles, Nay, Harrison, Trefliek, and Fay recorded wins easily in straight sets. Barter started up a set after a grueling 7-6(4) match, but couldn't hang on and dropped set two 5-7, and the tie breaker 0-1(6). Rose tried to fight from behind after dropping the first set down 2-6. He came back with his own 6-2 finish, but fell 0-1(7) in the tiebreaker set.
The men will continue to play today, as they battle UW-La Crosse.
