Jackson, Wis. – The Carroll University men's tennis team fell in their second match of the day to UW-La Crosse by the score of 1-8. This snaps the men's two match winning streak, and they currently sit at 2-3 on the season.

In doubles, all three Pioneer teams were closed out. Lucas Nay and Joseph Harrison put up a strong case, but were edged by their opponents (4)7-8. Luke Barter and Sam Fay couldn't come close enough with a 5-8 final, and Brian Trefliek and Michael Rose were swept 0-8.

In singles, Nay recorded the lone win for the Pioneeers, in his three set thriller. Nay controlled set one 6-3, but slipped up in set two 1-6. The tie breaker went in favor of Nay 1-0(8). Harrison, Trefliek, Barter, Rose, and Fay were all bested in two sets. Fay tried to push for a tie breaker, but fell in set two (2)6-7.

The men begin their spring break trip next Friday, where they will play four matches away from the Wisconsin cold. Once they return, CCIW play will begin.
