Waukesha, Wis. – The Carroll University men's tennis team faced a tough Augustana Viking group on Friday afternoon at Jean Kilgour Trailblazer Tennis Courts. The Pioneers fell 0-9 against the Vikings.
 
In doubles, Lucas Nay and Brian Trefliek battled the No. 1 & 2 singles, but fell 3-8. Chris Jensen and Jordan Nowell had opportunities in the No. 3 doubles slot, but dropped the match 2-8. Luke Barter and Ryan Strupp were defeated by a score of 0-8.
 
In singles, Barter had a chance in the first set, putting up four wins, but fell 4-6, 0-6 against his opponent. Nay and Trefliek both put up one in the first set, but were defeated 1-6, 0-6, respectively. Strupp, Nowell, and Jensen were beaten 0-6, 0-6.
 
The Pioneers will host North Central tomorrow at the same time as the women's tennis team. Both matches will begin at 12 PM.
