New Orleans, La. – Emily Uitenbroek, Vanessa Uitenbroek, and Steven Hermsen were all selected to the 2021 USTFCCCA All-Region Midwest team. The three Pioneers finished inside the top 10 in at least one event in the region this season. Associate Head Coach Peter Delzer was named the Midwest Region Men's Assistant Coach of the Year, his first coach of the year award.
 
Delzers' men's throwing crew scored 45 of the team's 109.5 points at the CCIW Outdoor Conference Championships earlier this month. Delzer has coached both Steven Hermsen and James Hinkley to top-25 marks in the region this season, including the top mark in the DIII discus throw.
 
Hermsen, a junior from De Pere, finished top-25 in the mid-west region in three events, including the top spot in DIII discus. Emily Uitenbroek, a graduate student from Kaukauna, has the region's, and nation's, best throw in the hammer throw this season. Emily was also top-25 in the javelin as well. Vanessa Uitenbroek, a freshman from Kaukauna, finished fifth in the region in the discus after her final throw at the Augustana Twilight Last Chance Qualifier. Vanessa also finished inside the top-20 in the shot put this year. All three athletes have qualified for the 2021 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
