NORMAL, Ill. – The Carroll University women's golf team posted a team best round at the Illinois Wesleyan Fall Classic this past Friday through Saturday, September 17-18 in Normal, Illinois. The Pioneers shot a combined 718 two-round score, finishing with a 360 on day one and a 358 on day two.
 
Caroline Kroeninger finished with a  two-day score of 171 and 27 over par. Kroeninger on day one, shot a season best round of 81, but dropped back a bit on day two, finishing with a score of 90.
 
Ashlyn Burdick had a much better day two, after starting the tournament with a round of 95. Burdick finished the tournament with a season-low 83 on day two, to complete the weekend with a round of 178.
 
Emma Meiss made strides shooting an 88 on day one of the tournament, and followed it up with a 94 on day two for a combined 182 and third on the team. Abby Van De Hei completed the tournament with a 187 (96, 91) and Elsa Meiss finished with a 198 (96, 102).
 
The Pioneers next opportunity comes at the CCIW Tournament September 30 – October 2. Hosted by Illinois Wesleyan, the tournament will be held at the same golf course as the IWU Fall Classic.
