JANESVILLE, Wis. — The Carroll University women's golf team finished 15th out of 18 teams at the UW-Whitewater Invite, competing in a weather-altered event at Janesville Riverside Golf Course.

Severe weather in the area forced the tournament schedule to be adjusted, with teams completing only nine holes on day one due to tornado warnings. The field returned the following day to complete the second nine holes, and the planned second 18-hole round was canceled entirely.

Carroll was led by Scarlett Lindgren, who posted a round of 85 (+13) to pace the Pioneers and grab a 43rd place finish. Emily Brokl followed closely with an 87 (+15), while Lynea Sekany carded an 89 (+17).

Tessa Lawson added a round of 90 (+18), and Lauren Lostetter rounded out the Carroll lineup with a 96 (+24) as the Pioneers navigated challenging conditions throughout the abbreviated event.

Despite the shortened format and difficult weather circumstances, Carroll gained valuable experience competing in a very competitive tournament field which featured six ranked teams..

The Pioneers will look to build on the outing as they prepare for upcoming events on the schedule, with their next chance coming on Monday as they compete in the Benedictine Spring Invite.
